Accounts Receivable Specialist

Ultimate Staffing is seeking is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client located in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Position Summary
This role requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles-particularly debits and credits-and a professional, team-oriented approach. Hours are standard business hours with occasional Saturday mornings.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform Accounts Receivable and cash reconciliation procedures, including manual bank reconciliations.
* Reconcile high-volume store sales and cash payment transactions; enter payments accurately.
* Experience in retail, with POS system AR.
* Support wholesale department with route check-in, invoicing, and balancing tasks.
* Prepare one-off journal entries with correct GL account allocations.
* File sales and tire tax across six states; maintain sales tax exemption forms.

Qualifications
* Strong understanding of accounting debits and credits across general accounting functions.
* Required: Minimum 4-5 years of accounting experience.
* Accounting degree preferred but not required.
* Ability to manage large volumes of data and documents accurately.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
* Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
* Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
